Secure data backup and recovery is easy with Datavault.

1. Install the software

   It’s simple…about a 90MB download that can be installed on a wide range of hardware and operating systems. You can even install it on a workstation, if you’d like. The software is only installed on one system within your network. From there, if the software can see it on your network and has access privileges, you can back it up.

2. Select the data you’d like protected

   Familiar, wizard-driven process that allows you to choose the system you’d like to backup, when and how often you’d like it to be backed up and what to do if any errors are encountered during the process. Restores are performed using the same interface and can be initiated for a single file or an entire server. Local storage copies of the data prevent you from having to wait for large data amounts to be transferred so you can recover quickly!

3. Run the Job!

   When the job runs your data is processed for changes, compressed, de-duplicated and encrypted before it’s ever sent to our secure offsite data centers - saving you space and money. You only pay for the space you use in any given month, no transfer limitations or backup/restore limitations. Data is automatically replicated from our primary secure data storage facility to our secondary facility, 180 miles away.

4. Customize your strategy

   Every business is different and a solid backup solution should be flexible. DataVault, powered by Asigra, allows you to exclude data based on certain characteristics, automatically purge data that reaches a certain age (delete or archive all files older than 7 years ). This is a powerful tool in managing the amount of data you’re protecting – more data means more cost and longer backup/restore times – DataVault, powered by Asigra, gives you the tools (or we’ll do it for you). Powerful reporting allows you to see more about your data than you’ve ever wanted to know – what are your growth trends?, what user has the bulk of the data?, what file types are contributing the most to the overall total?
